About me
I have been teaching physical education in Massachusetts since 1998. I am also an E-200 RYT. Recently, I have united my two professional worlds by presenting around the country on how to implement yoga into the PE Curriculum. You don't need to be an expert to teach yoga in the gym, and you can make it fun for all ages. Yoga is a great lifetime physical activity that is good for flexibility and muscular fitness. As physical educators, we teach students many skills, and we should also be teaching them how to breathe properly. Breathing properly is a great way to self-regulate. I wish I had the skills and the knowledge of how to teach yoga years ago, and I hope to spread yoga to schools and programs throughout the country.
