About me
I am a K–5 Health Enhancement teacher at Morning Star Elementary School in Bozeman with 32 years of teaching experience and 30 years of coaching. Throughout my career, I have taught students from kindergarten through 12th grade and even taught a college course. I am passionate about promoting lifelong fitness and movement, and I have incorporated biking into our curriculum to inspire healthy, active lifestyles. Our district holds a Bike Rodeo two times a year for all K-5 students. I believe the joy of movement is contagious, and elementary students are at the perfect age to develop a love for being active. K–5 is a magical place to teach, and I love my job today more than when I first started. Every day is an opportunity to help students build confidence, healthy habits, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
